Sunshine after frost so out for walk with large piece of felt that was previously gessoed, thick brush, neocolors & pot of water to paint outside. Worked ok except I ended up with blue paint on my coat! Now needs some stitching.
Drawing fruit and interesting ceramics. This week in the BA class we are looking at the work of Audrey Walker. Stitched piece in progress - needs work on the shadows.
Initial sketches of pot plants from which the one of the amaryllis was selected. This was coloured up with bold stitch-like crayon marks before being translated into stitch. The fabric is a coarse cotton decorators sheet and the threads vary from stranded cotton to soft cotton and cotton perle.
